Welcome to Ben Curry's Tech!

You might've guessed already, I'm Ben, from Newcastle (hence the Black and White theme) and I thought I would start this blog to share some of the experience and knowledge I've gained over the last 10 years. I've predominately worked in a Technical Consulting capacity across the Microsoft partner space for UK based Managed Service Providers.

My technical experience stems across Azure Infrastructure, the M365 suite; including Entra, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Defender and more recently Purview! Providing consultancy services to Internal IT teams, workload migrations and many merger and acquisition migrations between tenants.

I'm also passionate about always learning and do my best to take on as many Microsoft Certifications as I can, typically means there's always a renewal to do - but that encourages me to keep on learning.

My experience also reaches to the on prem world too, the first half of my career was spent installing and migrating physical Windows Servers and deploying all sorts of Firewalls, switches and VPN solutions - I don't miss having a car full of cardboard and cabling now though! 😄

I hope that this blog can help contribute positively to those in the Microsoft community, as I am someone who has relied on blogs for many best practices and deployments. Even in this age of Copilot and AI, where the information is at all of our fingertips - I still don't think you can't beat the real deal experience, posted by someone with the battle scars 💪
